Dubai, UAE; May 12, 2012: Vopak Horizon Fujairah won the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business award for best business performance in the Transport & Logistics category for the second consecutive year.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister of Dubai, honoured the winners of the sixth round of MRM Business Awards at a ceremony recently held in Dubai.

The MRM Business Awards are given to businesses with proven excellence in leadership, strategy, customer, workforce and talent management, operations and processes, innovation, governance and corporate social responsibility. To be a consecutive winner, the organization should show significant improvement in the key areas of assessment in a sustained manner. 

Walter Moone, former General Manager of Vopak Horizon Fujairah Ltd. (VHFL), received the award from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan on behalf of VHFL and its joint venture partners.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the awards were given to 14 companies in seven categories including manufacturing, finance, re-exports, construction, transport and logistics, all of which are operating in the UAE and free zones.

Vopak Horizon Fujairah is a joint venture between Royal Vopak, Horizon Terminals Ltd - wholly owned by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), the Government of Fujairah and Kuwait’s Independent Petroleum Group.
