Vopak Horizon and Belleli Exterran transfer 120 ton Nitrogen vessel to Fujairah
Between 16 and 21 June Vopak Horizon and its contractor Belleli Exterran transport a 120 ton Nitrogen vessel from Sharjah to Fujairah. The 140 kilometer journey starts in the Belleli Energy construction yard in Hamriyah Sharjah and will travel via Dhaid to its end destination, the Vopak Horizon oil terminal in Fujairah. The vessel is planned to arrive in Fujairah on June 21st.

The nitrogen vessel is 49 meters long with a diameter of 3.80 meters.
The nitrogen vessel will be installed in the Phase 6 expansion of Vopak Horizon Fujairah. Vopak. This vessel will be connected to the existing Nitrogen production and storage facility in the terminal. Once operational the nitrogen vessel can contain 500 cubic meters of Nitrogen.
Nitrogen is used to empty and clean pipelines (so called 'pigging') on the terminal. In this manner the same pipeline can be used for different types of oil products, for instance Gasoline and Diesel, and different customers.
