Studies for expansion at Vopak Horizon Fujairah’s oil terminal Dubai, November 22, 2007: The board of directors of Vopak Horizon Fujairah today announced that studies are being made for the expansions of the terminal with up to 1.2 million cbm and four to six additional berths. This plan for expansion is on top of the ongoing expansion of 380,000 cbm, including two berths which will be commissioned in January 2008. Following this new study, the oil terminal will have a total capacity of 2.7 million cbm, 10-12 berths, and a single-point mooring system capable of handling vessels up to 175,000 d.w.t. This will enable Vopak Horizon Fujairah to further improve its hub-function in the Middle East for black and clean mineral-oil products. Hussain M.
