Lifting of dome roof of TK 509. With the TK 509 roof installation the last major building activity is completed.

Arrival of the piles for the new jetties. In total 438 pieces were transported from the Port of Fujairah to site by trucks at a 24 hours per day operation. The pile lengths are 219 x 24 m and 219 x 14 m with a total weight of approximately 3500 tons.

Safety Award 2007

Safety Promotion awards for the month of  September-07 were distributed to the following workers.

The above personnel when deputed to critical activities found working in the safest manner. They are well aware of safety procedures, and their cooperation with co workers is excellent and pleasing.
They were observed by Safety Officers, supervisors and found using proper PPE all the time, attentive on tool box talk and explaining to others in the team.

In August 441 contractors worked at the terminal and a milestone of 1,000,000 man hours was reached!

 

 

August 2007
Construction is on schedule, out of the total nine tanks three tanks are painted and eight dome roofs are positioned. The last tank reached 50% of its height. Meantime piping, civil and Electronic/Informationsystems works continue.

The new tanks have already a height of 7,5 metres. The total height will become 25 metres.

In front of these tanks you can see the tank bottoms of another few new to build tanks.

February 1st,  the improvement of tank bottom 509 will start.

Three vibro compaction rigs

Construction work of Phase V at Fujairah has started. Soil improvement by vibro compaction has to be done. Vibro compaction is done by installing sand/rock columns, in total 5,600 columns have to be made.
