Vopak Horizon Fujairah Ltd. has expanded the oil terminal’s capacity by 380,000 cbm of new tankage and is constructing two new berths. Following this expansion the oil
terminal will have a total capacity of 1.5 million cbm, six berths, and a single-point mooring system capable of handling vessels up to 175,000 d.w.t.

This expansion in the berths and tankage will enable Vopak Horizon Fujairah to further improve its hub-function in the Middle East for black and clean mineral-oil products.
Technical details of the expansion
- 9 new tanks with a total capacity of 380,000 cbm, capacity of tanks ranging from 20,000 to 60,000 cbm (completed in February 2008)
- 2 new berths for vessels up to 110,000 dwt, 3 loading arms, 16’, per berth (currently under construction, planned for Q4 2008)
